FUNDING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL - PRECEPT
The work of Parish Councils is funded by the precept which is collected by Buckinghamshire Council through the Council Tax levy.
For 2026/27 Whitchurch Parish Council's precept will be £36,230 (2025/26 - £36,230). This represents a small decrease in the average Band D for a household of £3.96 to £69.97 per annum. The Parish Council increased the precept to help fund the following:
- Grants to Community Groups.
- Streetlight Maintenance.
- General Village Upkeep.
- Grass Cutting and Open Space Maintenance.
