FUNDING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL - PRECEPT
The work of Parish Councils is funded by the precept which is collected by Buckinghamshire Council through the Council Tax levy.
For 2025/26 Whitchurch Parish Council's precept will be £36,235 (2024/25 - £32,350). This will represent an increase in the average Band D for a household of £6.60 to £73.93 per annum. The Parish Council increased the precept to help fund the following:
- Grants to Community Groups.
- Streetlight Maintenance.
- General Village Upkeep.
- Grass Cutting and Open Space Maintenance.
