FUNDING OF THE PARISH COUNCIL - PRECEPT
The work of Parish Councils is funded by the precept which is collected by Buckinghamshire Council through the Council Tax levy.
For 2024/25 Whitchurch Parish Council's precept will be £32,350 (2023/24 - £29,410). This will represent an increase in the average Band D for a household of £6.00 to £66.00 per annum. The Parish Council increased the precept, following no increase in 2023/24, to help fund the following:
- Completion of the Neighbourhood Plan.
- Grants to Community Groups.
- Streetlight Maintenance.
- General Village Upkeep.
- Provision of Christmas Lighting.
- Grass Cutting and Open Space Maintenance.
